Images Hair and Nail Studio {Loves Park Photographer}

Another great business that I have had the pleasure to work with is Images Hair Studio. Owners/Sisters Kelly Shimp and Laura Shovelin are personal friends of mine. In fact, Kelly and I were on the dance team together in high school and we reconnected when I needed to find a new local hair dresser. Kelly contacted me to do a shoot for the salon to update their look on facebook. These girls are so much fun and made my job that day even easier! I have also had the privilege to photograph Kelly's son Dylan, who is the cutest kid ever. And you may remember that Kelly's other siblings, Michelle and Steve, also booked their weddings through us.......so I owe a lot of business to Kelly! Images Hair and Nail Studio is located in Loves Park across from Carlson Ice Arena. You can find them on Facebook

Lillyan Lou 2010: Accessorize Your Life {Rockton/Roscoe Photographer}

I have had the privilege of connecting with many other women in business. Karmen Bryer, owner of Lillyan Lou, and I have been working together to grow both of our businesses. I take pictures of her items and events and then in return I get some great props for my sessions. It's a WIN WIN! We had originally intended for this shoot to be outside....we even had large props and a location ready......but then the rain ruined our plans. So we made do in Karmen's living room and just did a mini shoot with the kids. Here are just a few of the images from the day showcasing Lillyan Lou items.

Steve's New Business Adventure

Recently my step-dad Steve has picked up a few new and exciting projects. My mom is really in to buying garden art to put by her pond at home, so this got Steve thinking that he could make some yard items and start to sell them at flea markets/shows around the area. He has made some really neat creatures out of stone and rusty metal. But his most recent adventure is making big, elaborate birdhouses. Here are a few pictures of his recent artwork.
