On our honeymoon we promised to be somewhere EVERY year on our anniversary. Since we had already taken a lot of vacation time earlier in the year, we could only sneak away for a few days so we decided to go somewhere close to home. We started off the trip by seeing Coldplay at Alpine Valley, which was one of my gifts to Dain for our anniversary. Then we drove straight through to Grand Rapids, Michigan. We could not find a hotel anywhere so we ended up sleeping in the Edge. (Hence the really bad hair day in the first picture.) Even though we were only away for a few short days, we managed to fit a lot in: The zoo, the gardens, sand dunes, and photos on the beach. We bought a lot of wine, ate a lot of food and took a lot of pictures. Here are a few of our favorite shots from the trip.
